Your air fryer produces enough heat at its base to leave permanent, unsightly rings on your stone or wooden countertops. Many people assume the feet of the appliance offer enough air circulation, but high-temperature cooking often tells a different story.
Protecting your kitchen surfaces is a simple process that prevents long-term damage. These Best Heat Resistant Mats for Air Fryer selections offer a necessary buffer between your hot machine and your precious home surfaces.
Key Takeaways
- Measure your total counter space before choosing a mat to ensure the footprint of your fryer fits comfortably on top.
- Prioritize silicone materials because they provide both high heat resistance and a non-slip grip that prevents accidental sliding.
- Check the thickness of the mat, as a profile of at least 0.5 inches provides a superior thermal barrier for extended cooking sessions.
- Choose a waterproof option so you can quickly wipe away spills or grease splashes without worrying about permanent stains.
- Consider a pack containing two mats if you own multiple small appliances, like a toaster or coffee maker, that also generate heat.

It is particularly well-suited for large air fryers like Ninja or Cosori models. You might find the thickness makes it slightly less flexible than thinner mats, but that extra material is exactly what keeps your counters cool.
