People often assume that any tiny snack works for a puppy class, but tiny clowns like Frenchies need specific motivation.
Choosing the Best Training Treats for French Bulldogs requires paying attention to calorie counts and soft textures because these little dogs can lose focus and teeth health in a hurry.
Let us look at options that keep your companion engaged and trim during every session.
Key Takeaways
- Prioritize soft textures that break apart easily to keep training sessions moving without delay.
- Look for limited ingredients if your Frenchie has a notoriously sensitive stomach.
- Measure the calorie count per piece carefully because small dogs gain weight on very few extra calories.
- Choose small bite sizes so your dog swallows quickly and stays focused on the next command.
- Select high-value proteins like beef, salmon, or real chicken to maintain strong motivation during difficult distractions.

More Details on Our Top Picks
-
Buddy Biscuits Soft Chicken Trainers
Teaching your French Bulldog new commands requires high repetition, and you need a reward that will not slow down the pace of your session. These soft chicken treats come in a generous 10-ounce package that contains roughly 500 tiny bites, making them exceptionally budget-friendly for frequent learners. You will appreciate how quickly your dog can chew and swallow each morsel without losing focus on the task at hand.
The primary drawback is that these morsels contain poultry, so owners managing strict protein allergies will need to look elsewhere. But for most puppies and adult dogs, the savory chicken flavor is an irresistible motivator during obedience work.

The aromatic salmon profile attracts picky eaters who usually ignore dry kibble rewards. Just keep in mind that the smaller bag size means you might need to restock more frequently if you run long daily obedience drills.

The soft texture remains gentle on older teeth or very young jaws that struggle with hard biscuits. One minor issue is that the crumbly nature of these snacks can leave residue in your pocket if you carry them loose.

The dehydrated preparation style preserves natural flavor without adding extra sodium or chemical additives. The only downside is that dehydrated chips can shatter into small crumbs inside your treat pouch.
